02/20/2023 at 14:20 by Jusuf Hatic – The Steam sales figures of the past week are here. Hogwarts Legacy continues to top the list, while Wild Hearts can look forward to a good release week despite critical reviews.
New week, new Steam charts: As usual, the ranking list of the most successful Steam games of the past seven days, based on sales, is updated on the SteamDB portal on Mondays. Unsurprisingly, nothing has changed at the top: the standard and digital deluxe editions of Hogwarts Legacy continue to occupy the first two places and continue the successful release of the Harry Potter offshoot. The podium is completed by Valve’s own Steam Deck – otherwise newcomers in particular can be found in the top 10 of the sales charts.
Before the new releases of the week, however, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 moves up to 4th place in the current Steam charts. The reason for this is the current discount campaign, which runs until February 28th and started to celebrate the newly launched second season of Warzone 2.0. With a 35 percent discount on the regular MW2 edition and a 25 percent discount on the dedicated Vault Edition, it’s no wonder the shooter is back on the leaderboards.
Wild Hearts was able to record the best release of the last week, which, despite catastrophic ratings, can enter the fifth and sixth place with its two editions. Directly behind are the pre-orders for the upcoming Destiny 2 DLC Lightfall, which will make its debut on February 28th and further underlines the anticipation of the penultimate chapter of Destiny 2. Also new to the list is the roguelike shooter Returnal, which had to contend with disappointing Steam player numbers when it was released – at least in terms of sales, the supposedly weak start seems to have had little effect.
The Steam sales charts of the week are completed by the so-called Prime Status Upgrade to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which among other things regularly offers CS:GO players exclusive items, as well as the city builder Pharaoh: A New Era, which was released as a modernized new edition of the of the same name from 1999 promises nostalgia.
