And Activision Blizzard projects too – if the deal is approved.
Microsoft’s gaming division has partnered with Nvidia to bring Microsoft games to the GeForce Now cloud service. The deal was announced following Microsoft’s communication with the European Union’s antitrust regulator.
If Microsoft manages to buy Activision Blizzard, then the holding’s games will also appear in GeForce Now. Previously, a similar deal was signed by Microsoft and Nintendo.
Microsoft hopes that deals with Nintendo and Nvidia will push regulators to approve the purchase of Activision Blizzard. Now the authorities of several countries admit that such a deal will worsen competition in the gaming market.
The main opponent of the deal is Sony Corporation. Microsoft previously offered Sony a 10-year contract to release new parts of Call of Duty on the PlayStation, but the offer was rejected.
