Warner Bros. Games reported that Hogwarts Legacy earned $850 million in global sales and sold over 12 million copies in just its first two weeks of launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
It is the largest global launch for the video game company owned by Warner Bros. Discovery: The RPG also set the Twitch record for single-player gaming with 1.28 million concurrent viewers at launch.
As previously reported, Hogwarts Legacy launched with overwhelming player engagement, surpassing 267 million hours of play from launch February 10th to February 21st. On Thursday, Warner Bros. Games reported that the game broke company records with 280 million hours of play to date.
According to Warner Bros. Discovery, “In addition, the franchise’s worldwide fan base has increased overall as Wizarding World Digital receives 300% more traffic compared to its usual monthly average of unique visitors for the first 10 days of February.”
