People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) decided to remind about itself and published a short guide on its official website, which gives some tips on how to play Hogwarts Legacy with respect for animals.
The article consists of three tips. The first is not to explore Hogwarts and the Highlands by flying a hippogriff or a thestral, but to choose a classic magic broom.
The second piece of advice is not to create or consume potions that use animal parts or secretions as ingredients. Better dodge like a pro. You don’t need a potion if you never get hit. And the spell “Protego” cast at the right time can demonstrate your skills much better than swallowing the juice of a “living” creature. “Similarly, the third and final advice is not to wear clothing made of animal materials such as feathers, fur, and so on.
Strangely, PETA’s advice to respect animals at Hogwarts does not include a ban on using a magic bag to suck animals inside against their will and then imprison them in an artificial vivarium or sell them to one of Hogsmeade’s vendors.
The PETA manual can be found at this address. It is worth noting that all of this was written in a flippant and half-joking tone, as has happened in the past with other gaming-related initiatives of the organization.
