Xiaomi 12T: copies the Pro model

The Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro are two phones with very similar technical specifications. We find the same design, the same size (163.1 mm x 75.9 mm x 8.6 mm) and the same weight. The 12T offers like its big brother a large format of 6.67 inches. Both benefit from an OLED panel (Dolby Vision and HDR10 + compatible) with a Full HD + definition of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels for infinite contrast, but also excellent brightness. And, it is with pleasure that we find a refresh rate at 120 Hz for a fluidity quite appreciable on a daily basis.

The 12T is again on the same wavelength as the Pro version, and does not disappoint by offering a 5,000 mAh battery. A big battery, so that can keep the smartphone a good day, or even more depending on your use. If it is not compatible with wireless charging, it benefits from a fast charge of 120W. This is very effective for recharging energy: it only takes 19 minutes to refuel the battery.

Without too many compromises

It is at the performance level that the concessions are made on this model. While the Xiaomi 12T Pro features the powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the 12T is powered by the Dimensity 8100-ultra chip with 8 GB of RAM. Even if this chip is slightly less powerful, it is able to run any game or demanding application without any problem, or to do multitasking. This model runs on Android 12 with the MIUI 13 interface. The smartphone is also compatible with the 5G network.

The photo configuration also differs. Indeed, the 12T is satisfied with a sensor of “only” 108 megapixels instead of 200 for the Pro version. There is also an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle and a 2-megapixel macro. In fact, it is able to capture good quality shots, even if the night results will obviously be less convincing than on the 12T Pro.
