Let’s start by saying that Baldur’s Gate 3 is not exclusive to PlayStation 5 consoles, Larian quickly intervened to silence the voices that wanted the game to arrive only on the Windows platform and PS5 consoles, with the total exclusion of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
This is not actually the case and Baldur’s Gate 3 for Xbox exists, but at the moment the studio is focused on the PS5 and PC versions and is continuing to work on the edition for the Microsoft console, however it is not yet the most suitable time to talk about it.
A studio spokesperson clarified how Larian has no exclusive agreements with Sony, the PS5 edition simply seems to be in a more advanced stage of development and for this reason it was possible to announce a release date. The version for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S exists and will come in the future, development continues and Larian will show it to the public when she feels confident about the quality of the product.
