February 26th, 2023 at 4:15 p.m. by Valentin Sattler – In China, the Jiushark JF19 is an unusual top blower that relies on gigantic dimensions and two 120 mm fans. However, it is questionable to what extent this design is advantageous.
If you want to keep your processor at the right temperature with air cooling, you can choose between several designs. Top blowers sit directly above the CPU and blow the air in the direction of the mainboard, whereas the radiator in tower coolers sits further away from the CPU and the air is guided parallel to the board. Both designs have their advantages and disadvantages, which are particularly related to the available space: top blowers are usually smaller, otherwise they could collide with components on the mainboard.
Oversized top blowers
Of course, there are exceptions to this rule, such as the Jiushark JF19 cooler. This model offered in China relies on a top-blower design, which is equipped with two fans: the huge cooler with its dimensions of 241x121x92 mm towers over large parts of the mainboard, with two 120 mm fans supposed to blow on the circuit board. The JF19 is more reminiscent of a GPU than a CPU cooler.
However, the JF19 cannot completely avoid the space problem above the mainboard, and so there is a suitable drawing from the manufacturer showing the maximum height the components on the mainboard can reach. This could become critical, especially with high-end boards with high structures, and the connection of cables or RAM bars is also made more difficult by the cooler.

If assembly is possible, the JF19 with its two fans and seven heat pipes is said to be able to cool processors with a TDP of 265 watts. An Intel Core i9-11900K is mentioned here as a comparison value, which can apparently be kept at 85°C with a 217 W TDP.

Of course, such manufacturer information should be treated with great caution, especially since the volume should also be decisive in this context. Most customers should also be better off with a normal tower or top-blower cooler than with such an exotic one. This also applies because the JF19 is not even offered in this country: it can only be imported from China, where it is currently offered for the equivalent of around 37 euros.
