The end of Babylon’s Fallthe failed project by PlatinumGames and Square Enix, it has come. With a somewhat muted communication (thanks to the absence of posts on the related Twitter pages of the development team and the publisher), the day and time of closure of the game servers was made official.
According to what can be read from the site relating to the title, the permanent closure of Babylon’s Fall online services will take place very soon: the time has therefore come to say goodbye to a project which, since its launch – which took place in March 2022 – has not received the approval of the public.
The end of services related to the Game As A Service published by Square Enix will take place at 11:00 PM PT on February 27 (corresponding to our local time at 08:00 on 28 February). Thus ends the short journey of the project with action-role hues conceived by the guys from PlatinumGames, told in detail during our review of Babylon’s Fall.
That the product servers were about to be shut down was well known to video game users: during the month of October last year, in fact, the CEO of PlatinumGames said he was ‘extremely sorry’ for the closure of Babylon’s Fall. The news of the end of the online services, which will take place in the next few hours of the title, was therefore already in the air for some time.
