The iPhone SE 4 could share some features of the iPhone 14. Apple could launch it in 2024 with a proprietary 5G modem and a design inspired by the iPhone 14. These changes could lead to a considerable increase in price.
The iPhone SE 4 could have a 6.1-inch Oled screen and Apple’s first 5G modem The iPhone SE 4 would be released as early as March 2024
The development of the iPhone SE 4 continues to fuel rumors. In a series of tweets, famed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that Apple will release the iPhone SE 4 as early as March next year.
iPhone SE 4: Design and technical sheet
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone SE 4 would look like the iPhone 14 with minimal changes. It would also be equipped with a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a notch. If this were to come to fruition, it would be a noticeable change from the iPhone SE (2022) which incorporates a 4.7-inch LCD display. However, it remains to be seen whether the other components such as the photo module, the battery and the SoC will also be taken over from the iPhone 14.
The iPhone SE 4 would be the first iPhone to feature Apple’s 5G modem and would be limited to sub-6GHz instead of the faster mmWave. Apple could thus test its modem before being able to integrate it into its next flagships. Ultimately, the brand’s move would aim to reduce its reliance on Qualcomm and use its own chips on all of its devices, including iPads and Apple Watches.

Along with the spec sheet, the price of the iPhone SE 4 might also change considering its hardware improvements. As a reminder, the iPhone SE 3 is sold for 529 euros with 64 GB of storage. Knowing Apple’s habits with the prices of its products, the iPhone SE 4 could be much more expensive, especially if it offers more basic storage.
