Aroged, Bandung – Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will get expansion DLC. The news was announced during the Pokemon Presents livestream event on February 27. The expansion takes the title The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero and is divided into two parts.
The two DLCs are story expansions set outside the Paldea region. Means, players will visit new regions and have the opportunity to meet legendary Pokemon.
DLC Expansion Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero
There are two separate DLCs in this expansion, namely The Teal Mask (launching fall 2023) and The Indigo Disk (launching winter 2023). In these two DLCs, players will venture outside the Paldea region.
The Teal Mask
In The Teal Mask, players will be selected to take part in the annual school field trip as a collaborative program with other schools. They were going to the Kitakami region, a mountainous region. To enjoy this first DLC, players must first complete the Treasure Hunt chapter in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
The official website says that Kitakami has a serene stretch of nature featuring rice fields and apple orchards. The field trip seems to be held simultaneously during the harvest season, so the village in Kitakami will be bustling with stalls and street vendors.
In The Indigo Disk, players will visit Burberry Academy as exchange students. Currently, there is no further information about the second DLC, but the conditions for enjoying it, players must complete the entire main campaign.

There are more than 230 Pokemon that are not yet in the Base Game
Nintendo says that players can meet more than 230 familiar Pokemon that haven’t appeared in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. That list of over 230 Pokemon is only available through those two DLCs.
Players also have the opportunity to meet and catch legendary Pokemon, namely Ogerpon in The Teal Mask and Terapagos in The Indigo Disk. Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti will also appear in The Teal Mask. The three Pokemon are told as heroes who protected Kitakami in the past.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s second DLC expansion, The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero, will be released this year.
