For some time now, Prime Video has been incorporating into its catalog highly successful Spanish series of yesterday and today, such as La que se avecina, Farmacia de guardia, 7 vidas, No hay quien viva here, Compañeros or Manos a la obra, among many others.
Now the platform has just acquired a current series that has been causing a stir in recent months: Scandal, story of an obsession.
Through his Twitter account, Amazon Prime Video has confirmed the controversial Mediaset series among its monthly releases in March.

What is Escándalo, relato de una obsessión, one of the most controversial Spanish series about?
Starring Alexandra Jimenez (The innocent) and Fernando Lindez (Elite), the plot of Escandalo, tale of an obsession revolves around Inés, a 42-year-old woman who, at a difficult moment in her life, plunges into the sea to end her life. But while she is drowning, she is saved by Hugo, a 15-year-old teenager with whom she ends up falling madly and obsessively in love..
“In her efforts to ensure that no one meddles in this forbidden relationship, Inés will let herself be carried away by her impulses and will not hesitate to make decisions that will inevitably affect those around her, plunging everyone around her into a spiral of serious events,” details the Official synopsis of the series.
Due to its plot and what was shown in its advances, there have been many who jumped on the networks criticizing Scandal, the story of an obsession before its premiere considering that the Mediaset series “romanticizes and normalizes pedophilia”.
Such was the commotion caused that even one of its writers had to come out in defense of the series, who claimed that, as can be guessed from its title, the last thing that is intended to be done is to whiten pedophilia.
The series Scandal, tale of an obsession will be available in the catalog of Prime Video starting next March 10, 2023so many will soon be able to see if the commotion really was such a big deal.
