Vivo is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of Android smartphones with a presence in Portugal. Now, in the midst of Mobile World Congress Barcelona, the MWC 2023, the Chinese manufacturer unveiled a new range of phones costing less than 500 euros, the I live V27.
At stake are the Vivo V27 Pro and Vivo V27 models, as well as the more affordable model, the Vivo V27e. Between them they share promising capabilities for selfies and portraits, in addition to good technical characteristics and best of all? The price will be below 500 euros once it also arrives in Europe.
MediaTek Dimensity 8200 and Dimensity 7200 processors in Vivo V27
We are, first of all, three mid-range and mid-range / high-end smartphones. However, despite the internationally announced price being below 500 euros, it is certain that its technical sheet is impressive, especially in terms of cameras.
Let’s look at the pair of models Vivo V27 Pro and Vivo V27, what unites them and what separates them. The models are extremely similar, particularly in the design, which does not differ.
The difference between the models resides in the processor
There is, however, a different processor in each of them. So, in Vivo V27 Pro tlet’s see the chipset Dimensity 8200 da MediaTek, one of the company’s best SoC’s with 4 nm lithography and a maximum processing frequency of 3.1 GHz. It can be compared to the new Snapdragon 7, therefore, immediately below the Snapdragon 8 line, the tops of the range.
On the other hand, the base version – I live V27 – uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 processor, also with 4 nm lithography, but with a maximum frequency of 2.8 GHz. Both models, however, use the same Mali-G610 graphics.
The cheapest model is the Vivo V27e.
These are the only differences between the Pro and standard models of the new Vivo V27 range. So, let’s see what unites them. Above we can see the lighter color scheme for these smartphones, with the peculiar pattern on their back.
Vivo brings 50 MP cameras to its new Android smartphones
The photographic aspect is certainly the biggest highlight of these phones. Both Vivo V27 Pro and Vivo V27 have a 50 MP main camera, custom Sony IMX766V sensor, with f/1.8 focal aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS).
The second camera has 8 MP resolution with ultra-wide-angle optics. Finally, the third camera has a 2 MP optic with macro optics. We also have a ring for the LED flash at the top, next to the main camera.
We also have a front camera punching the screen (punch-hole) with an impressive 50 MP resolution and autofocus (AF). Furthermore, in Vivo’s software we have several modes and options for image creation and capture.

Among these software modes for image capture we have Real-Time Extreme Night Vision, Super Night Video, as well as Hybrid Image Stabilization that combines optical stabilization with digital stabilization (OIS + EIS).
The software used by Vivo in its new smartphones is based on Google’s Android 13 operating system with the brand’s own interface, Funtouch OS 13. We also have Bletooth 5.3 connection, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz/5 GHz, in addition to from the USB-C port.
On another note, the battery of these phones has a capacity of 4,600 mAh with fast charging at 66 W of power.
The new Vivo V27 smartphones weigh 182 grams, with the Pro model being sold only in Magic Blue, or in Noble Black, both more sober.
On the other hand, the base model can also be purchased in gold or green, or better, in Emerald Green or Flowing Gold. They all have a peculiar texture and gradient that changes the appearance of the rear depending on the incidence of light.
Announced price starts at $459 for Vivo V27 Pro

The Vivo V27e arrives with the Mediatek Helio G99 processor, without connection to 5G mobile networks, therefore, only with a 4G LTE connection. We have similar cameras, but here the main one has a 64 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP sensor, with a 32 MP front camera without autofocus.
Its 6.62-inch screen, AMOLED technology has flat edges and a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, with Full-HD+ resolution. We also have up to 128 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM memory.
This model has the same 4,600 mAh capacity battery and fast charge at 66 W. The software is the same Google Android 13 operating system with the brand’s own interface, Funtouch OS 13.
