“The way Vampire Survivors is designed, we can add both new content and new mechanics to the existing game, so why make a sequel to it?”, says Galante, specifying that “if we ever make a sequel or a spiritual successor, it will have to offer something radically new” . In short, the author does not totally exclude the possibility that Vampire Survivors 2 or one of his spiritual heirs could see the light in the future, however for now there are no plans in this sense and it is highly probable that the situation will remain so for a long time, at least until an idea is found that can revolutionize the concept of the game and thus give meaning to a new episode.
The latest free update of Vampire Survivors has added not only new objectives, but also a new map and transformations and, as Galante suggests, it is very likely that other similar updates will arrive in the near future for the game. Meanwhile Phil Spencer has finally finished Vampire Survivors, confirming that he has unlocked all the objectives of the work.
