At Mobile World Congress, Honor took the stage to introduce the new Magic 5 series that includes the base model, Magic 5 Pro and Magic 5 Lite. But today the brand has decided to expand this family with one more model: the Magic 5 Ultimate Edition.
And as the name Ultime Edition suggests, the new smartphone brings with it top specifications that make it all the more desirable.
Let’s start with the screen, which is a 6.81-inch OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Add to this the IMAX Enhanced certification with support for HDR10+.
On the rear panel is the triple rear camera setup with a primary sensor of 50 megapixels, an ultra wide angle also with 50 megapixels and even a telephoto sensor with 50 megapixels of resolution and 100x digital zoom.
In turn, at the front the model displays a 12-megapixel sensor and a 3D depth camera. It should be noted that the rear and front cameras are capable of 4K video recording.
Inside the new Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM memory and up to 512 GB of storage capacity. The model is also IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.
This Ultimate Edition draws power from a 5,450 mAh battery with support for 66-watt fast charging. According to the brand, the model’s battery is carbon and silicon anode, which provides an energy density 12.8% higher than that offered by lithium batteries.
Moreover, the new Magic 5 model is equipped with 5G communications, Wi-Fi 6, USB-C, NFC, and even runs the Magic UI 7.1 interface, based on the Android 13 operating system.
The Magic 5 Ultimate Edition will be available on the Chinese market from March 10th at a cost of approximately 910 euros.
