Diya has completed an online survey regarding the status of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated as a national holiday in Ukraine on March 8, and which is a weekend According to Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Organization of Labor Relations in the Conditions of Martial Law” No. 2136-IX dated 15.03.2022, during the period of martial law, the provisions of Article 73 of the Labor Code of Ukraine, which establish holidays and non-working days, do not apply. — more than 2.1 million Ukrainians took part in it in a week, which became a new absolute record.
Until now, the record among polls in “Dia” was held by the vote on the right to own firearms for civilians – in the summer of 2022, more than 1.7 million Ukrainians took part in it, and 59% supported the idea.
Currently, the parliament is deciding what to do with March 8 after the victory. There are two options – leave it as an official day off or make it a working day. In order to find out the opinion of the public, “Action” was initiated by the parliamentary initiative and implemented by the Ministry of Digital Affairs together with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. In the end, the majority voted to leave March 8 as a holiday — 1.3 million+ votes. The results of the vote must be taken into account in the Parliament before the adoption of the draft law on March 8, the Ministry of Statistics notes.

Voting on options for a new name for the South-Western Railway is currently underway in “Diya” – it will last until March 10. It is part of the three-year program “Railway Ukrainization”, “Ukrzaliznytsia” will get rid of all names and symbols associated with Russia and the USSR by 2025. Ukrainians are offered four options to choose from (Kyiv Railway, Capital Railway, Central Railway and Northern Railway).
Online polls in “Diya” appeared at the beginning of February 2022. This is a new service for the development of e-democracy in the country, which has been tested with a limited number of participants since the end of last year. Surveys among users of “Diya” will help the authorities to learn people’s opinions, and the team to develop new services. In the future, the Ministry of Digital Affairs plans to implement online elections. The Ministry of Digital has been constantly talking about the system of electronic elections that will allow online voting for the past few years – work in this direction has been underway since at least 2020.
