Unique concert created specifically for Soam As Guitarras in Setúbal, in which Sérgio Miendes, who has just released his first solo album Senda, invites 6 friends, well-known guitarists, composers and people from Setúbal, to share on stage songs, songs and stories from their careers that crossed so many times.
In the past, the collaboration between these instrumentalists and composers resulted in the following works: Renato Sousa; Zeca’s melodies; Eternal moments; Nightjar – Tio Rex Plain-5 Tragedies ; Life, Love, Loss and Death; 10 Year Anniversary; The James-Mnemonic Devices; A foreign body – Pulse; Of not having time; Delirium man; A Strange Body and Saturnia-The Mystical Orphean Sonic; Not the girl – Rua das Marimbas N°7; April 2nd.
It was born solo, through the middle of a wide path with two opposite sides: one full of calm, the other full of urgency, and derives from a dazzling collective: of people, elements, places, narratives.
In the universe of influences fit Tom Waits, Carter Burwell, Trent Reznor and Marc Ribot. And there are also days when the ground gives us firmness, just as there are days when it is magma and sets our will on fire. Then there will be the other days, those where the ground only exists in front of you, not under your feet. And on those days we fly, so that life doesn’t stagnate. And here we fly high, between electric, acoustic and classical guitars, between bass, banjo, keyboards and percussion, multiple melodic and harmonic paths, which reach us through a single pair of hands: those of Sérgio Miendes.
