Files by Google, one of the best managers for your Android files, is getting a new folder. ‘Important’ will replace the well-known Secure Folder.
Anyone who uses Files by Google is undoubtedly familiar with the Secure Folder. As you know, you can store your files there with peace of mind, since you can only open them with your personal PIN code or a swiping pattern. In addition, third-party apps are denied access, so they cannot simply read the contents of those files.
Secure Folder becomes ‘Important’
The Secure Folder will soon be known as ‘Important’: a folder in which you can not only store files securely, but also share them in a convenient way. That reports Nail Sadykov of the Google News Telegram channel Twitter. In the current Secure Folder, you must first move the files it contains to another location before you can share them. The successor to the Secure Folder gets a prominent place in Google’s app, as a tab.
Google Files prepares a new “Important” tab, which is *I assume* a reimagining of “Safe Folder.”
It uses Android Biometric Prompt instead of build in pin or pattern.
It has FAB for adding new files. And, there may also be a sorting by file type. pic.twitter.com/M8RZ2JtzLf
