The success that the iPhone, whatever its generation, has among users around the world is undeniable.
It is equally undeniable that Apple resists including some features that have long been seen in the Android universe and it seems that the next generation of the iconic smartphone will continue to resist and will not integrate Face ID functionality under the screen.
Apple resists including some features that are quite common in the Android universe
The iPhone 15 will have a USB-C port, but with different data transfer speeds, rumors say [email protected]
The iPhone enjoys tremendous success among users all over the world. Each generation that is launched from the Apple smartphone, invariably registers a high number of sales, always being one of the best-selling terminals globally.
The reason for its success is directly related to the terminal’s good performance, however all point to the absence of some features that are already quite common in the Android universe.
The two most glaring examples are Apple’s delay in including a USB-C port and a periscope sensor in the models. Although it has updated the primary sensor in the most advanced models of the iPhone 14 to a resolution of 48 megapixels, Apple continues to include a telephoto sensor, without being a periscope, with only 12 megapixels of resolution.
As for the USB-C port on smartphones, it will be the next iPhone 15 series that is finally included, but only due to the requirements imposed by the European Union. Even so, according to rumors this USB port will have different transfer speeds between the base models and the most advanced ones.
Next iPhone won’t have Face ID built into the screen
And it is another example of this same resistance that is currently news in the high-tech world. The latest rumors claim that the next generation of the iPhone will not have Face ID built into the screen, at least until 2025.
The information comes from Ross Young, a usual reliable source on Cupertino. This information gains special relevance, since the reason for this to happen is that Apple considers that the technology is still insufficient to reach the hands of users.
Now, the biometric authentication embedded in the screen is a very common attribute among premium smartphones in the Android universe and, it should be said, that the technology works well, although depending on the model with greater or lesser precision.
According to Ross Young, Apple has not yet managed to obtain the desired results, which are already available in its rivals.
Following Young’s information, only with the iPhone 17 series, in 2025, iOS users will be entitled to this attribute, which will also allow removing a hole in the smartphone screen.
