Fancasts for the film, based on the beloved Knights of the Old Republic, have been circulating for several years now. In fact, they’ve been on the web for so long that most of the chosen ones are probably too old to play their roles. So one fan decided to see what the AI has to say about it, and that’s something.
For reasons known only to a Microsoft developer, the company’s quirky AI software believes that Henry Cavill would be the perfect Darth Revan. Yes, ChatGPT does think that the former Superman actor would be perfect for the role of the altered Sith Lord after playing the role of Geralt in Netflix’s The Witcher.
The results for other actors are different. On the one hand, we have an ingenious solution: the HK-47 assassin droid is voiced by Tim Curry, and Mission Vao is played by Hailee Steinfeld. On the other hand, we have Tom Hardy as Canderus Ordo and John Krasinski as Kart Onasi… which is a bit less fitting in the opinion of the fans. On the other hand, we have Zoe Saldana in the role of Juhani, because she clearly did not have enough roles in which she has to spend ten hours in the makeup chair.
While nothing is known about a real KOTOR movie without the influence of artificial intelligence, we have a remake on the way. However, that seems to be a long way off, as the game has reportedly been taken over by a new developer, having previously been delayed “indefinitely”.
