Among other things, Nintendo’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will receive five more racers to choose from in the next two sections of the Booster Route Pass DLC. Most recently, there was a new character with the recently released fourth installment in the form of Birdo.
This was followed by five large question marks in the racer selection menu, which are placeholders for the additions to come. However, it is still unknown who exactly is behind this.
According to the Nintendo eShop, the booster route pass promises the return of well-known characters, so that one can at least speculate based on the line-up of previous parts of the game series. With Birdo, for example, there is a representative from Mario Kart Double Dash, which was once released for the Nintendo Gamecube.
With the “5th wave”, eight more revised racetracks from previous Mario Kart parts will be included in the game. The fourth part of the DLC series includes the Fruit Cup with the maps “Exit Amsterdam”, “Riverside Park”, “DK Skikane” and “Yoshi’s Eiland” and the Boomerang Cup with “Bangkok Afterglow”, “Mario’s Piste “, “Waluigi Arena” and “Fast Lane Singapore”.
In total, all DLC parts come together on 48 new racetracks for the already aged Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which, despite its advanced age and original release for the Wii U, is still provided with plenty of content in its outdated version for the Nintendo Switch. 32 new maps are already available with the previous parts of the Booster Track Pass.
