According to Business Korea, South Korean lithium battery makers are interested in entering the stationary power storage market. Used electric vehicle batteries may also be suitable for equipping them, but market needs are growing rapidly in the light of the transition to alternative energy, and therefore it makes sense to equip a certain part of stationary energy storage devices with new batteries with a suitable set of characteristics.

Last year, CATL, a Chinese company that specializes in the production of LFP batteries, controlled 78% of the global market for stationary storage batteries.
