A new developer video for Minecraft Legends was released over the weekend. In this, the makers of Blackbird Interactive go into topics such as the graphic style or the design of the piglins.
With “Minecraft Legends”, Mojang and the developers at Blackbird Interactive are creating another spin-off based on the successful “Minecraft” brand.
Over the weekend, the two studios released a new developer diary, with which the makers of Blackbird Interactive give us another look behind the scenes. One of the topics discussed in the new video is the graphic style of Minecraft Legends, which brings the game’s world to life in a colorful way.
The new dev diary also takes a closer look at the piglins that populate the world of “Minecraft Legends”.
Repel the Piglins
In “Minecraft Legends” you explore the game world from the third-person perspective and come across all sorts of peaceful settlements that are threatened by beings called Piglins. In order to save the residents from the enemy hordes of Piglins and the ongoing spread of their Nether corruption, you join the various settlements and support them in the fight against the Piglins.
“Explore a beautiful land that is both familiar and mysterious, teeming with diverse creatures, lush biomes, and rich resources needed to build your defenses and defeat the Piglin invasion.”
In addition to the campaign, “Minecraft Legends” features a PvP mode in which you join a team in procedurally generated worlds and work together strategically to push back the Piglins and bring down the enemy base.
