Boxer Saul Alvarez has announced that he will fight British John Ryder on May 6. The fight will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico, and Canelo will fight at home for the first time in 11 years.
Alvarez will defend the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF middleweight titles. Saul’s last fight at this point was in September last year, defeating Gennady Golovkin.
34-year-old Ryder has fought 37 pro fights, won 32 of them and lost 5 times.
