What IO Interactive has managed to achieve after their partnership with Square Enix deserves a thumbs up. That instead of sinking, the freedom that is now obtained to continue to push and explore Hitman as a mainstay franchise actually makes them reap success. The killer without hair on his head is present in missions that are more creative, free, with the support of visual quality that is no less stunning. The climax, of course, is the release of the complete package titled “Hitman: World of Assassination” which contains all of the last adventures. So, what about the next fate of Hitman?
In his latest interview with Eurogamer, IO Interactive’s Chief Creative Officer – Christian Elverdam admitted that at this time they would “rest” the Hitman franchise first and let it fall into hiatus status. The reason? They will divert their resources to complete the James Bond game which was previously announced. But he stressed that they would still return with Agent 47 in the future, considering that this character will always be the “core” of IO Interactive itself.
Leaving Hitman “on hiatus”, IO Interactive will focus on their James Bond game.
IO Interactive itself has yet to release a new trailer or share more details regarding the James Bond game they are currently working on. How about you? Optimistic with this one game?
