IO Interactive opened a new study a Istanbul, in Turkey. This is the fourth headquarters for the Hitman house and will deal with the development of the most important franchises, including Project 007 and Project Fantasy.
IOI Instabul is located in the Maslak district, in the Sariyer district one of the main commercial areas of the city.
“Istanbul is a city steeped in history, offering a strong cultural presence, historic architecture, breathtaking views of the Bosphorus and a vibrant and diverse culture,” reads the official statement issued by IO Interactive. “These elements made the opening of a studio in Istanbul a strong step forward in IOI’s goal of making impactful games on all platforms and for everyone, as well as establishing a foothold for AAA development in Turkey “.

IO Interactive was founded in Copenhagen in 1998 and opened a second studio in Malmö, Sweden in 2019. A third office later opened in Barcelona in 2021.
In addition to Hitman, IO Interactive is working on a licensed James Bond game, codenamed “Project 007”. Last month it also announced that it also has a fantasy-themed online RPG in the pipeline.
