“It was a very difficult, tough match. But we showed from the first minutes how much we want to win and go to the next round.
I left the field because I got a nasty kick in the shin. But it’s just a bruise. I will be ready to play Barcelona on Sunday.
Whoever you play with, you have to try and overcome difficulties. This is modern football. It doesn’t matter how much effort it takes. We only cared about winning, and we got it.”
Forward Karim Benzema scored the only goal in the match and was recognized as the best player of the match.
