It’s always great to see a small dev team whose game ends up being a success in the market decide to challenge themselves and try something new in their next project instead of “playing it safe”. They then answered the challenge by presenting a game on a completely different scale, from the visual side, the gameplay, to the mechanics themselves. This is what the team from Heart Machine seems to be trying to offer, which finally showcased the gameplay for their newest game – Hyper Light Breaker.
Comes with a three-dimensional world with action that looks just as tight, Hyper Light Breaker certainly looks much different compared to the previous Heart Machine game – Hyper Light Drifter which is simple. Heart Machine also ensures that Breaker will not be positioned as a sequel or prequel for Drifter, but only shares the same universe. Hyper Light Breaker itself is defined as a rogue-lite adventure game that can be played solo or co-op, where it promises an unlimited open world, unlimited deaths, and lots of loadouts.
Hyper Light Breaker finally shows off its first gameplay!
Heart Machine also confirmed a change in the release format for Hyper Light Breaker which will no longer be released in full immediately, but will enter the Early Access phase first in 2023. Unfortunately there is no definite date for the release yet. What do you think? Interesting project?
