Silent Hill fans have been wanting another film for a long time, and filming will start next month. The cast of the main roles has now been announced.
In April, the shooting of “Return To Silent Hill” will start in Germany and Eastern Europe. Original “Silent Hill” director Christophe Gans is going back to his roots and taking charge here as well. Deadline reports that Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Anderson will star in the cast.
The film, which is said to be based on the video game Silent Hill 2, is said to be about James. A man shattered by the separation from his one true love. A mysterious letter is said to call him to Silent Hill to look for her.
Return To Silent Hill is described by Gans as a mythological love story about someone who is so in love that he is willing to go to hell to save someone.
“You’ll still find the iconic monsters – but there will also be new designs. We’re confident that this new film and Konami’s updated game together will propel the series forward for years to come,” said the director.
