John Wick has found a new ally in Akira (Rina Sawayama), who is featured in the new poster for the upcoming John Wick 4 sequel. Akira is the daughter of Koji Shimazu (Hiroyuki Sanada), the manager of the prestigious Osaka Continental Hotel. Because her father is in a particularly dangerous job, Akira grew up knowing that she needed to develop a set of skills that could protect her from potential threats lurking in the shadows. With her ability to fight and move quickly in any conditions, the woman could very well be just the ally Keanu Reeves’ character will need in the new film.
In the new part of the film, Wick is on the run, being hunted by a criminal organization known as the High Table, after the events of the last film. Fearing that powerful criminals will track him down, the hero is forced to keep a low profile, hiding anywhere and hiding his identity through various methods. Unfortunately, John didn’t consider that the High Table would enlist the help of one of its most evil members, the Marquis Vincent de Gramont (Bill Skarsgård). In a race against time, Wick must escape de Gramont’s hands through numerous car chases, hand-to-hand combat and a huge amount of bullets.
The sequel will also feature Donnie Yen as Kane, a blind High Table hitman and Wick’s ally. This isn’t the first time the actor has played a character who is blind but capable of defeating any enemy standing in front of him in hand-to-hand combat. In the 2016 Star Wars spin-off Rogue One, Yong played Chirrut Imwe, a monk who dedicated his life to protecting a Jedi temple located on the planet Jedah.
