Dying Light 2 it was a very ambitious project that has kept Techland busy for quite a few years. The sequel to the zombie open world title arrived last year, which has allowed the studio to start with a new development.
A little less than a year ago we learned that the creators of Dying Light are working on an open-world action and role-playing game together with former developers of The Witcher 3. Without a doubt, it was news that moved more than one person.
Since then, we have had few details about all this, but little by little aspects of this project will be revealed. Meanwhile, we’ll have to settle for small updates like the one the company recently shared.
The studio has revealed a new image of the game. It is a conceptual art that makes it very clear the style that the fantasy world of this title will follow. The exotic jungle theme has once again shined after a first image that was shared on the day of the game’s announcement.
Our newest game is set to be a fantasy narrative driven epic with an exotic open world ready to be explored. We strove to create a compelling #AAA story-focused title that combines and refines the best aspects of the game that Techland is known for.
We never stop improving!

Techland, Dying Light and a very different style
From the zombies to the pure fantasy role-playing there is an important leap, that’s why we can’t wait to see more about this game of Techland. What would you like to see implemented from Dying Light 2 into this game?
At the same time, our ambition is to present a new IP that is very different from what we have been doing for the last few years. We want to create a totally next-generation experience, explained the CEO of the company at the time.
We remember that the team in charge of bringing this open world title to life is Techland and the Dying Light team, but it has incorporated people into the project from many other distinguished developers such as CD Projekt Red, Arkane Studios, Deep Silver, Playground Games o Guerilla Games.
