Polish studio Covenant.dev and publishing house Team17 continue the series of videos Into The Gorddedicated to the development process and strategy features Gordbased on Slavic myths and legends. As we remember, we started with the history of the project, and continued with a conversation about visual design.
The third video was devoted to urban planning, and it analyzes in detail how to establish and develop a medieval Slavic fortified settlement, Gord. We are told what buildings can be erected in it, what resources we have to manage, and why the skill of mastering space is so important.
In the new video diary, the developers also discuss what ideas they used in the process of working on the city-building part, and how different genres were combined to create this key element of the game.
Gord doesn’t have a release date yet, but they’re planning to release the game this year.
