By dint of announcing the repeated postponements of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, players around the world thought it was for the best. Unfortunately, even after so many months of development, they remained unmoved by its gameplay. Worse, they had a great time on social networks: a discontent that went up to the ears of Rocksteady. After his recent statements, Jason Schreier has provided new data on the potential new report.
Suicide Squad : Kill the Justice League, un accueil glacial digne de Mr. Freeze
To everyone’s surprise, on February 23, PlayStation and Sony held a State of Play event where it was a question of promoting the PSVR 2 catalog but, above all, a next-gen game which was among the most attractive titles of the new console generation, Suicide Squad : Kill the Justice League. After proving its love for the Dark Knight, the Rocksteady studio decided to turn around to make us embody the anti-heroes of the Suicide Squad. Among all the suicide missions, the one that consists of kicking the butt of the Justice League left our quartet of antagonists dreaming. Unlike players around the world who, after Sony’s presentation, looked at each other out of the corner of their eye, somewhat taken aback by the gameplay extract broadcast.
Thinking of sharing maximum information on their next game and reassure players, Rocksteady has, conversely, aroused the concern of (potential) future buyers. Quickly, the reactions fused on the social networks, going so far as to predict an oven à la Marvel’s Avengers if the title came out as is. After the postponements that punctuated the development, it did not take more for a new crisis to settle in the ranks of Rocksteady, as announced by Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier a few days ago. After his latest revelations, one of the most famous insiders in the industry has returned to the charge.
Despite the dilemma, Rocksteady persists and signs on its anti-Justice League game
On March 9, Jason Schreier split a message on Twitter, after having exchanged with one of his sources, to announce that after the presentation of Suicide Squad : Kill the Justice League, considered disastrous by a large part of the audience, Warner Bros. and Rocksteady had decided to postpone the release of the game for the umpteenth time. Today, he supported the words of his previous tweet with new data. As he explains, the announcement of the postponement has not been officially announced since internally, the teams simply would not have any ideas on the next release date.
Rocksteady has not yet announced the Suicide Squad delay, perhaps because there’s still no new date. Staff were told a few weeks ago it’s coming later this year but they still don’t know when. Possible it slips to 2024, but one thing seems certain: The core game isn’t changing

On the one hand, we evoke the possibility of a lag of a few monthswhile remaining programmed for the year 2023, while, on the other hand, we emphasize the possibility of a pure and hard postponement…. to 2024. As we said, there is no certainty about the outcome of this dilemma but one thing would already be certain, and it will not please players cooled by the extract from the State of Play. To conclude his new tweet, Jason Schreier announced that the very heart of the game will not be at the center of the changeswhich implies that it would retain its economic model and the system that was discovered in more detail.
