The short campaign featuring Ada could be released later this year as a paid download extension. But the scope may be a little higher than in the PS2 offshoot.
From all appearances, Separate Ways is not in the upcoming horror remake. However, the additional mode is to be submitted later this year as a download extension.
The DLC is said to be free. There is talk of a larger scope, which is why the playing time would be longer than in the PS2 original. As a reminder, the campaign for this additional mode lasted about three and a half hours.
This information comes from industry insider Dusk Golem, who is well informed about the Resident Evil series. In his tweet he speaks of a real “DLC pipeline.”

The Mercenaries will also be submitted later
Thus, only the actual campaign could be included at the release: “The Mercenaries” will also be added at a later date, but will definitely be free. That was confirmed on the last one State of Play. Just like a VR implementation, which is also available as free DLC appears.
The lack of additional content will certainly cause criticism for some players. Already under Dusk Golem’s Twitter post someone wrote: “Why should we pay for Separate Ways? It was free in the original?”
However, some players respond that this mode was only added with the PS2 version. Separate Ways was missing in the previously released GameCube version. The campaign with Ada should probably give many an incentive to buy the action-horror-adventure a second time. Finally, the graphics on the PS2 were less noticeable
However, there is still no trace of “Assignment Ada”. It’s another game mode from the original. Will it be available immediately, will it be released with Separate Ways, or will it be canceled altogether? Currently unknown.
