The Flash is going to be a big deal for DC, and Hollywood star Tom Cruise was lucky enough to watch the movie before it’s released in June. Ezra Miller will lead the first solo adventure as the titular character in The Flash. The film sees Barry Allen embark on a multiverse adventure where he meets alternate versions of existing heroes and villains from the old DCEU, as well as debuting new characters. DC has high hopes for The Flash, and Cruise’s opinion bodes well for the film.
Tom Cruise became interested in the upcoming DC movie and asked to watch it before release. After that, Zaslav asked an employee to bring him a film for a private viewing at Cruz’s house. The Hollywood star is said to have loved The Flash and called the film’s director Andy Muschietti to congratulate him. Cruz reportedly said something along the lines of “The Flash” being “everything you want to see in a movie” and “that’s the kind of movie we need right now.”
Cruise’s praise is in line with James Gunn’s positive words earlier in the year. Speaking about the film, Gunn said The Flash is “one of the greatest superhero films ever made.” This kind of praise is very important as this film will not only be responsible for the creation of the new DC Universe, but will most likely be the final one for a number of elements that audiences enjoyed in the old DCEU.
The Flash will premiere on June 16th.
