Dead Set
Dead Set is a miniseries of only 5 episodes that follows a film crew and its actors. While they are filming a reality show called Big Brother, a zombie attack breaks out.. And while the whole world suffers the apocalypse, producer Patrick decides that the show must be ensured at all costs. Without even caring about the undead, the cast resumes its work. Everyone underestimates the seriousness of the situation. Dead Set is the first series from Charlie Brooker, the creator of Black Mirror. The reviews were quite favorable, but various budgetary reasons prevented the show from being renewed.
DMZ
This series takes place on the island of Manhattan in the United States, which has been ravaged by the civil war. The flesh series takes place in a small fictional village of Roarton some time after an event called “the Resurrection”. During it, a teenager named Kieren Walker and other residents died, but were brought back to life as a zombie. Upon their return, they were all driven out and then reintroduced into society by the government. The only condition to remain among the living is to undergo a daily drug injection. However, they are not immune to discrimination and many of them have post-traumatic memories of their actions as the living dead.
S.O.Z. Soldiers Or Zombies
SOZ Soldiers Or Zombies is a single season Mexican series that is still ongoing. Alonso Marroquin is a drug trafficker who, together with his son Lucas, escaped from a high security prison. They decide to take refuge near the American border. They represent the first generation to be born during this end of the world. They decide to leave the Nebraska area, considered the safest to cross the country. Some of them will stay on the straight and narrow, while others will turn into antagonists. The series is already complete since it ended after two seasons. If World Beyond divided a lot, the casting was praised and the story could give some indications on the future of certain main characters of the series.
