Aniplex has announced that the NieR:Automata Ver 1.1a anime is once again delayed: the ninth episode will not be released next week, as previously expected. The reason for the delay is being cited as COVID-19, and the team intends to announce a new episode schedule at a later date.
This is very unfortunate for many reasons, including the fact that the anime was delayed due to COVID-19 and only resumed last month. Although, ultimately, the health and safety of the staff should come first, so I’m glad they’re postponing the project rather than rushing and rushing it.
NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition is now available for Nintendo Switch worldwide. The first iteration of the game, simply NieR:Automata, is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox and PC, with the Xbox version containing the Colosseum DLC with no additional purchases.
NieR:Automata was originally released in 2017 on PlayStation 4 and PC, with an Xbox One release in 2018. The game follows characters named 2B and 9S who are agents of Yorha, an organization tasked with various combat missions and intelligence gathering missions. This game has become very popular due to its story and characters combined with action, exploration and shmup elements.
