03/19/2023 at 1:15 p.m. by Julius Kahl – The modification HD Reworked Project for Cyberpunk 2077 is now also available in an Ultra Quality version. According to the modders, this version gives the highest quality textures and generally the best visual gaming experience. Compared to the balanced version, the mod can swallow up to 800 MiByte more VRAM.
When Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red was first released, the role-playing shooter was plagued by bugs and crashes, but the game looked good. As in the days of The Witcher 3, the community quickly thought: this could look even better. The modder Halk Hogan PL has made this his task and created an HD Reworked Project modification for Cyberpunk 2077, which should significantly improve the optical quality of the shooter.
Cyberpunk 2077: This makes the scifi shooter even more beautiful
A similar modification already existed in the days of The Witcher 3 and the community there was also enthusiastic about the result. For Cyberpunk 2077 (buy now €59.95), the modder states that the mod should come with high-resolution textures for streets, terrain, walls, dirt, vegetation, graffiti and objects. Most of the time this should cost little performance. According to our PCGH editor Raffael Vötter, this worked quite well: despite the significantly improved textures, the occupied VRAM memory never exceeded 12 GiByte and that with a resolution of UHD.
So far, only the balanced version of the HD Reworked Project has been released (we reported), now the modder is delivering an ultra quality version that is primarily intended for users of 4K screens. According to Halk Hogan PL, the increase in VRAM should be limited to a maximum of 800 MiByte. The mod Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project Ultra Quality can now be downloaded from Nexusmods, the download amounts to a low 703 MiByte.
