Diablo IV beta testing began on Friday. From the very beginning, it was fraught with a number of technical problems that caused server connection failures and long queues. Now Blizzard has introduced the first fixes that should minimize these issues.
The developers have updated the servers, which is expected to improve stability and reduce queues.
The developers are currently working on fixing bugs due to which some console players have problems getting into the servers, despite the queues.
The early access to the beta that pre-orders can take advantage of will end today, so players won’t have time to enjoy these fixes. As of now, there is no indication that Blizzard will extend this testing phase.
However, the changes will be very useful during the second phase of the beta test, scheduled for March 24-26, when all interested players will be able to test the game without having to buy a pre-order. This means that many more people will be able to take part in testing, which will also increase the load on the servers.
Diablo IV will release on June 6, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
