03/19/2023 at 3:30 p.m. by Valentin Sattler – In three videos, the “ElAnalistaDeBits” YouTube channel compares the graphics of all current versions of Diablo 4. In the more current systems, the differences are not too big.
This weekend, pre-orderers of Diablo 4 can play Blizzard’s new game for the first time as part of a beta test phase. As a result, players can not only gain initial experience with the title, but initial comparisons, tests and reports on the technology are also possible. We too have already taken a look at the title and attested to its noticeably high VRAM hunger, among other things.

On the other hand, three new videos on the ElAnalistaDeBits YouTube channel focus more on the optics: the graphics of all the different versions of Diablo 4 (buy now €79.99) are compared there. In one video, the Playstation 4 / 4 Pro / 5 compete against each other, in another the Xbox One / One X / Series S and Series X are compared with each other and finally there is also a comparison of the PC with the current consoles from Sony and Microsoft .

Blizzard has apparently done a good job of optimizing the game. Only 30 fps are targeted on the last-gen consoles, but these can usually be maintained in the respective resolution. The Xbox One should calculate in 900p, followed by the Playstation 4 with 1080p. The Playstation 4 Pro, on the other hand, is said to be 1188p, and the Xbox One X performs best at 1440p among the old consoles.
In contrast to their predecessors, the current consoles run consistently at 60 fps, with the Xbox Series X and the Playstation 5 Diablo 4 calculating in 2160p. The Xbox Series S, on the other hand, works at 1440p. According to the video, there are hardly any drops here either. The new generation also makes a significant leap in loading times: In a test scene, for example, the Playstation 5 only took around 6 seconds, whereas the Playstation 4 Pro 36 and the Playstation 4 had to wait a full 50 seconds.

In terms of looks, of course, there’s a clear jump between the last- and current-gen consoles. The PC version, on the other hand, is roughly comparable to the current console graphics. Unfortunately, there is no frame rate comparison here, but the PC version should probably benefit the most from optimizations anyway. In addition, of course, minor adjustments to the graphics cannot be ruled out before Diablo 4 comes onto the market in June.
