As anticipation grows for Elden Ring’s Shadow of Erdtree expansion, FromSoftware’s action role-playing masterpiece gets a new, prestigious award: the judges of the latest edition of the Famitsu Dengeki Awards have decided to award Elden Ring the Video Game award of the year.
The monumental work done by FromSoftware in realizing the creative vision of the Interregnum is therefore rewarded by the editorial staff of Dengeki and Famitsu with theyet another recognition to Elden Ring. The emotions returned by the open world odyssey of Senzaluce allow the team directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki to also bring home the statuettes of the “Most Valuable Creator” and of the video game with the best graphics.
Leafing through the complete list of winners of the other awards presented by the organizers of the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2022, the absence of awards to God of War Ragnarok, the other great protagonist of the past videogame season, stands out:
