The most important things summarized:
The HP notebook Specter x360 2-in-1 scores in the test with strong values. The OLED display and the performance are particularly impressive. The device is currently available from Amazon for €1,930.90. Below you will find a step-by-step guide and an excerpt from the best notebook list
The new HP Specter scored very well in almost all categories in the test. But we particularly like the display, which is one of the best we’ve seen in this area so far: the 13.5-inch OLED screen offers almost perfect color space coverage, which is also suitable for professional creative people. In addition, the display is also nice and bright and can therefore still be used in direct sunlight.
The performance is also top thanks to the fast Intel Core i7 CPU, which is not only suitable for all office tasks, but also for image processing and video editing in the hobby area. However, the notebook is not designed for gaming – there is no dedicated graphics card for this. However, the power is sufficient for smaller casual games.
The touchpad supports gesture control and can be used precisely. The backlit keyboard is okay, but sometimes offers too much play, so it doesn’t quite match the otherwise high-quality notebook. If you want, you can also use the touch display or a pen for operation.
The equipment is impressive: The main memory is only standard with 16 GB, but the SSD with 1 TB should be sufficient for many users. The notebook also scores with a USB 3.2 Type-A port (Gen1) and two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 capabilities. That’s okay overall, but we would have expected a little more here.
The notebook’s sound is powerful and clear. This is ensured by four loudspeakers certified by Bang and Olufsen. The battery also cuts a fine figure: It lasted 6:30 hours in our office test, but the device lasted up to 9 hours when surfing the web.
Our verdict at the time of testing
“In our test, the HP Specter x360 2-in-1 14-ef0075ng convinced in almost all categories. An Intel Core i7 processor of the twelfth generation ensures the strong performance. The whole thing is rounded off by an excellent OLED touch display, long battery life and a fabulous package of features, but you have to dig deep into your pocket for that.”
