The live-action adaptations of Disney are on everyone’s lips again these days. Just recently we reported about the fact that kiss the frog to celebrate a comeback through a real film adaptation. There was also a message in February about the possible return of the brand Aladdin to the movies. Finally, Guy Ritchie gave a first sign of life for a possible sequel to the live-action film from 2019. But how realistic is such a sequel? An actor from the film has now commented on this.
Are we seeing Aladdin 2?
Explicitly has itself Mena Massoud commented on a potential sequel. But anyone who wants a second live-action adaptation of the brand may be disappointed by his statement. “Right now it’s very unlikely,” the actor replied when asked if we’d see Aladdin 2. It remains to be seen whether we will actually not see a sequel to the live-action adaptation, or whether the forecast will turn out to be wrong.
It would certainly be interesting to see how Aladdin 2 would fare at the box office. After all, the first film was a financial success, despite more or less good reviews. Also with an audience score of 94 percent you can splurge on Rottentomatoes, for example. There are also other live-action projects that are apparently currently being produced under the Disney banner.
