A recently released Skyrim mod added the ability for players to use the voice of Ciri from The Witcher 3 for their dragonborn. The crossover between Skyrim and The Witcher 3 might come as a surprise to some players, but their settings aren’t really that different, so it makes sense.
The mod called Ciri DBVO Pack was created by user xXFEARTCBXx and adds the voice of Ciri from The Witcher games to Skyrim. Using the power of rapidly improving AI voice generators, the user fully voiced every line in Skyrim and, in combination with the Dragonborn Voiceover mod, added Ciri’s voice to the game.
Let’s hope that the gaming industry can come up with clear guidelines for using the voice of AI to ensure that the technology can reach its full potential in terms of ethics.
