Nintendo UK sent out a small survey to users, but it has sparked new speculation about the release date of Metroid Prime 4, one of the most anticipated and mysterious games in development for the Nintendo Switch.
The poll was actually about Metroid Prime Remastered, a game that came out unexpectedly last month and seemed to be a big success. If you read it correctly, the question was really innocent: “(Metroid Prime Remastered) seems like a good way to pass the time until the release of Metroid Prime 4.” But many saw it as a signal of possible game announcements in the coming months, with corresponding speculation about a release in late 2023 or 2024.
The issue with Metroid Prime 4 is fairly well known. Announced at E3 in 2017, it completely disappeared from the radar after the announcement of the resumption of development in 2019 with a complete change of team (now Retro Studios). Since then, there has been a complete lull, that is, since then the company has not said anything about the game.
Now, the fact that Metroid Prime 4 has been mentioned in an official review has inevitably renewed endless speculation among fans on social media.
