Peugeot continues its leadership trend in the Portuguese car market. In February, it secured top sales in the total Portuguese car market, Passenger Vehicles and Light Commercial Vehicles.
Data from ACAP (Portuguese Automobile Association) attest that Peugeot registered 2662 registrations in this monthly period, having increased its market share to 14.7%. Remember that in January this had a market share of 11.2%.
Peugeot has already sold 4550 vehicles in Portugal in 2023
If we count the first two months of the year, Peugeot has already sold 4550 vehicles. This gives, joining January and February, a market share of 13.0% to the French construction company.
In the Passenger Vehicle market, Peugeot sold 2,243 units in February, with a market share of 14%. This is an increase of 23.4% compared to February 2022.
As for light commercial vehicles, sales leadership is achieved through 419 new registrations in February. This value corresponds to a market share of 20.6%. In the first two months of the year, professional customers purchased 974 Peugeot vehicles, which gave it a 23.1% share of this market.
In the battery electric car (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) segment, it is the first generalist brand in the sales ranking, with 349 units, thus rising to the podium in February. Joining January and February, it had 660 units and a share of 7.8%.
Peugeot 208, 2008, Partner, 308 and 3008 are bestsellers
Peugeot is also the leader in sales of 100% electric vans, with models such as the e-Partner, e-Expert and e-Boxer. It thus sold 61 electric vans, with a market share of 35.7% in February. Combining the first two months, 113 units were sold and 33.6% of market share.
During the last month, the Peugeot 208, 2008, Partner, 308 and 3008 were the best-selling models in the builder’s range in our country.
