Nintendo Switch OLED + Skyward Sword : L’association idéale en attendant Tears of the Kingdom
The Nintendo Switch OLED is THE perfect console to have a good time. Whether it’s with your family and friends on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or to create your little corner of paradise on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it will allow you to spend great hours of play.
And if it is indeed a flagship license of the Nintendo console, it is The Legend of Zelda whose next title, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released soon. To succeed in waiting before its release while already enjoying the console, this pack will be perfect!
Indeed, it contains the most interesting version of the console with its OLED screen which is larger than the classic version. You will also be able to enjoy intense colors and the quality of OLED technology which will allow it to display deep blacks and infinite contrasts. The console has an adjustable stand if you want to play on the table and its docking station for your TV. Note that the Switch OLED dock has an Ethernet port to provide you with a more stable online gaming experience. 64 GB of internal memory is included in the console and you can easily expand it with a MicroSD card in the future.
With Skyward Sword HD, Nintendo has allowed us to return to an adventure released more than 10 years ago on Nintendo Switch in a more beautiful version adapted to this new console. To find out more about this excellent game that you will soon be able to browse, we leave you here with the test that we carried out when it was released!
Points forts
An adventure that is still as enchanting as ever, which takes on its full magnitude in its second part Fantastic dungeons and well-thought-out puzzles Several moments of anthology The sublime soundtrack Controls in motion gaming which gain in precision and which offer full camera management The possibility of making the entire game on buttons and not on motion gamingAn artistic direction that benefits from the graphic faceliftMuch less talkative and intrusive than the original game and therefore much better pacedWielding the sword like a swordsman, it’s still very nice
Weak points
The first three hours remain laborious Camera management not very instinctive when playing in “button mode” Some ergonomic concerns Textures that show the weight of the years
Nintendo seems to have heard the criticisms leveled at 2011’s Skyward Sword and drastically toned them down. By offering alternate controls and minimizing interactions with Fay that broke the rhythm of the adventure, this new version goes further than other remasters and changes what needed it most. If it shows its age when one is interested in the textures or certain questionable ergonomic choices, it nevertheless offers a gripping adventure which gains all its magnitude in its second part. Skyward Sword HD is a must for anyone who didn’t discover the title at the time and a pleasure for veterans who would like to set off on an adventure on the back of their Célestrier Vermeil. The latter will only be able to appreciate the much more sustained rhythm of the adventure and will rediscover in excellent conditions the origins of this legendary saga.
