Since the release last year, “Sifu” has been supported with updates and new content. A step that should pay off. According to publisher Kepler Interactive, more than two million copies of the crisp beat’em up have now been sold.
In February last year, the creators of SloClap’s “Absolver” released their latest project, the Beat’em Up “Sifu”, which entertained with both its exciting revenge story and its versatile combat system.
However, the release of “Sifu” was far from over for the indie studio. Instead, “Sifu” is still supported today with updates and new content or features. A step that should pay off, according to a recent announcement by publisher Kepler Interactive.
As the company confirmed in the current annual report, “Sifu” recently reached the next major milestone and has now sold more than two million copies on the PlayStation consoles, the Nintendo Switch and the Epic Games Store.
More content already in the starting blocks
Anyone who still can’t get enough of “Sifu” can look forward to the next free content update this month. This brings with it an arena mode that includes nine arenas and 45 challenges where you can put your skills to the test.
By successfully completing challenges, you will be rewarded with in-game currency, which you can invest in order to unlock additional modifications of all kinds. According to the developers responsible for SloClap, Arena mode will keep you busy for around ten hours. The corresponding content update will be released on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Incidentally, the implementations of “Sifu” for Steam, the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X/S will appear on the same day. Ports that should ensure that the proverbial end of the flagpole with the two million units sold was far from being reached.
