During a conversation with the editors of the Cat Geeks public, insider Daniil Nexus, who often publishes leaks of materials on STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, said that the GSC Game World management decided to temporarily freeze the development of the shooter.
According to the informant, the reason for this decision was the leak of a large amount of data on the game, including even the details of the plot. The production of the game stopped after March 11th. Most of the developers were stripped of their access to game content, leaving only a small part of the team with it.
Most likely, at the present time, the heads of the studio are trying to find out exactly who leaked the information. However, Nexus says that data leaks are far from one person.
Earlier, an insider noted that the project is about 25% completed, so its release is unlikely to take place before the second half of next year. Officially, the second part of the series will be released on PC and Xbox Series X/S this year.
