Finished PFL Winter Cup. The Left Bank club received a well-deserved cup, diploma and medals for the victory.
On March 17, the match in Vinnytsia ended in a dry draw, where the local Niva Vinnytsia accepted Niva from Buzova. Despite the fact that the guests have already guaranteed themselves the silver medal of the tournament, Serhiy Karpenko put almost the strongest team on the field. At the same time, Semenets and Somov appeared on the edge – this indicated that Niva Buzova was focused on the attack. Almost for the first time in the PFL tournament, Vinnytsia Niva managed to field the optimal team for the game, it was noticeable that bronze medals were part of the plans of Oleg Ostapenko’s team, even the match was moved to the city’s central stadium.
The game was not particularly sharp in the first half. Already in the 8th minute, Sklyarenko took off from the penalty area, but the ball flew over the crossbar of the home team’s goal. And in the 30th minute, Zagorulko missed a pass from the left wing. After the break, although Vinnytsia had to score in order to grab the medals, the guests were still closer to success. The best moment was for a fresh Kalinin, who went to a rendezvous with the hosts’ keeper Popovych, but was unable to break through. Popovych had to enter the game twice more, but in the end the teams ended the match in a 0:0 tie.
