For some time, players who love sniper rifles have been rather frustrated with the current state of Warzone 2. Unfortunately, a bug seems to have been spreading for a few hours and it is going to make life even more difficult for snipers in the game!
A bug that crashes your game!
As we know, sniper rifles on Warzone 2 and more generally on the Call of Duty license are a sensitive subject. Some will defend them arguing that you have to be a good player with a good aim to be able to kill opponents in play in one hit.
Others will criticize them, indicating that it entails a meta where players are going to tend to camp a position. Anyway, for some time sniper rifles have been struggling to establish themselves in the game’s meta and those who despite this continue to play them run into a rather annoying bug.
In effect, if you shoot your sniper, the game may crash for no reason. Whether on console or PC this bug does not seem that rare. For example, we see the topics on Reddit on this subject begin to multiply!
No patch yet to fix it
What’s quite frustrating about this Call of Duty Warzone 2 bug is that we don’t really know what triggers it. In effect, players don’t seem to do any particular actions which could lead to this crash. They just play and keep their fingers crossed with every shot they take.
For the moment, this bug is therefore still active and the bad news is that we will not be able to give you advice on how to avoid it, if not to play with a sniper rifle. But where things could get critical is when Season 2 Reloaded arrives.
Indeed, we should find at that time, not only a new sniper rifle, but also a game mode dedicated to them. You can imagine that with this bug, things could turn sour pretty quickly! It will therefore have to be resolved as soon as possible on the side of Infinity Ward.
